Today, we will practice typing using MicroType Pro, a program installed on the computers. We will practice this for 30 minutes.

The last 15 minutes of class we will practice logging in to PHSuccessnet.com, a website that has an online version of our textbook. 

The username for PHSuccessnet is the first part of your Gaggle e-mail address (everything BEFORE the @bisd.gaggle.net). Your password is your Student ID number.

Once inside, you want to click on where it says iText. Then, click on Online Textbook. You can use this to help you with your Schoology assignments.

One of the most important skills you need to have to be successful in the 21st century is the ability to type quickly and accurately. You can get things done faster and spend more time doing things you really enjoy.

To help us find our typing speed, we will use a free website: www.typingtest.com. Here, you will test how many words you can correctly type per minute. Then, you will record that information on the file below.

So, the steps for today are:
1. Go to www.typingtest.com
2. Download the file below and save it to your My Documents folder.
3. Do the typing test 3 times and record your score each time.
